The Relationship Between Teacher-Child: Relationships and Social and Emotional Skills

The session is based on a literature review I wrote investigating the link between teacher-child relationships and social and emotional skills. The review highlights the findings concerning the impact of positive and negative relationships, the stability of relationship quality across time, as well as findings specific to certain demographics such as gender and race.

About Keith Johnston

Keith Johnston was born in Brazil and grew up in Uruguay and Virginia. He completed his bachelor’s degree and his Master of Arts in Teaching in Early Childhood Education at the College of Charleston. Currently, he is a doctoral student in Curriculum and Instruction at Clemson University.
